What you will be doing in the role of Technician, Condition Monitoring Service:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Vibration data collection, analysis, and database management
- Using appropriate equipment, capture condition monitoring data on customer assets
- Analyzing the data collected and provide a full report
- Collecting vibration, oil, infrared and ultrasonic data and provide a full report
- Database management & development
- Regular monitoring & analysis
- Problem identification & reporting
- Corrective action & follow up
- Execution of cost benefit analysis
- Installation and adjustment of condition monitoring sensors
- Perform, when required, precision maintenance, such as balancing and alignment
- Support Lakeside’s teamwork and culture of information sharing by ensuring appropriate level of knowledge transfer to team members and other Lakeside employees, and to aid in their success
- Providing assistance/input to sales teams and staff inquiries
- Follow all safety and quality protocols for Lakeside and customer sites
- Be willing and able to work in hot/cold/dirty/dusty environments with appropriate PPE
Knowledge and skills required for the role:
- University Degree or College Diploma in Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; or Millwright/Machinist Program; or relevant equivalent
- Three - Seven (3-7) or more years of related experience
- Experience with online condition-based monitoring system (i.e. CSI/AMS/Emerson, Bentley/GE & etc.)
- Certified in a minimum of level 2 vibration with other condition monitoring technology certification
- Knowledge of machinery and reliability fundamentals
- Detailed knowledge on general mechanical fundamentals such as fits and tolerances
- Working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques
- Knowledge of spectral, time waveform and phase analysis
- Knowledge of health and safety issues and regulations
- Technical writing skills and computer aptitude
- Functional knowledge of primary predictive technologies such as Vibration, Infrared Thermography, Oil Analysis, Ultrasonic and Electric Motor Diagnostic/Motor Current Analysis
