What you will be doing in the role of Human Resources Coordinator – Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
 
Talent Acquisition:

  • Leading Lakeside’s full cycle recruitment and ensuring targets are met
  • Completing Hiring Intake process with Hiring Managers
  • Coordinating with hiring managers on job requirements, updating job descriptions/job advertisements accordingly.
  • Posting job advertisements on public job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn) and coordinating with Marketing Team to update job postings on Lakeside’s company website.
  • Screening Resumes for all open positions
  • First round interviewing for various positions at Lakeside
  • Coordinating Career Fairs and information sessions held at Universities and Colleges
  • Creating and updating Procedure Documents related to recruitment processes
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives for Recruitment and Onboarding processes
  • Administrative tasks related to the full-cycle recruitment process, including but not limited to:
  • Scheduling candidates
  • Uploading resumes to the applicant tracking system
  • Creating offer letters
  • Following up with candidates on interview status
  • Staying up to date on legislation changes
 
Onboarding Program
  • Leading the new hire onboarding process
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for new employees on their first day
  • Meeting with New Hires during their 1 Month Follow Up to discuss their integration into Lakeside
  • Coordinating ‘Onboarding Week’ (a presentation series that provides an overview of Lakeside’s industry, structure, and operations for new employees)
  • Providing suggestions for improvements for future Onboarding Week series
 
Administrative Tasks
  • Monitoring HR Inboxes
  • Meeting Minutes for all HR Team Meetings
  • Creating surveys
  • Coordinating meetings and events
  • Scanning and photocopying documents
  • Filing documents into Employee Folders
  • Researching various topics as required to determine best practices and new methods for improving HR programs and initiatives
  • Assisting with other projects, as assigned
 
 
Knowledge and skills required for the role:
 
  • University Degree in Human Resources OR University Degree with Post-Graduate studies in Human Resources
  • One to Three (1-3) years’ of HR administrative support
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PDF Exchange)
  • Professionalism and confidentiality
  • Well organized and attentive to detail
  • Strong ability to multi-task and time manage
  • Well-developed communication skills (written and oral)
